Thomas Berry has kindly gifted EarthSong with this 'raw text' of an address he gave in 2001, in his 87th year. Eventually it will be edited for publication along with many of his unpublished works.
In this paper, Berry addresses a North American audience, situating his talk in the Mississippi bio-region in which he is speaking. These words can speak just as strongly to us. Our forbears came to Australia with a similar exploitative mindset to that of our American cousins...
