This is the island at the end of the earth.
Beyond the blue cut of its horizons the world
is winding down, buckling under the weight
we press upon it. Irresponsible governments supply
much of that weight. We consumers, obsessively
guzzling, gorging and discarding, are responsible for
much of the rest.
